United Airlines announced routes for its first Boeing 737MAX-9

United Airlines has announced the initial routes for its new Boeing 737 Max 9 following FAA’s approval for commercial flight operations.

The airline said the first scheduled flights will be from its Houston hub to Anchorage, Austin, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando and San Diego on 7 June 2018., and expand the services to Los Angeles, Sacramento and Tampa from 29 June 2018.

The United 737MAX9s powered by CFM LEAP engines will be configured with 179 seats in 3 classes of economy, economy plus and first.

The airline will take delivery of 10 737-9s, of which six will be delivered in April/May and the rest 4 will be delivered before the end of this year.

The united will be first US carrier to operate Boeing 737MAX9 following the Lion Air Group that took the first 737-9

The airline has firm orders for 61 737-9s and 100 737 Max 10s.
