The first A320neo of British Airways made its first revenue flight

British Airways first Airbus A320neo entered into service with a flight to the Portuguese capital Lisbon. The first A320neo powered by CFM International Leap engines departed Heathrow on 15 April on its first revenue flight to Lisbon.

British Airways has a total of twenty-five A320neo on order with deliveries scheduled from 2018 through to 2022. The airline also has ten A321neo due to deliver from later this year through 2019.

The IAG International Airlines Group, the parent company of British Airways opted to order up to 220 A320neos for its various airlines in 2013. The IAG Group currently operates one A318-100, forty-four A319-100s, sixty-eight A320ceo, and eighteen A321ceo.
