Flight operations system failure causes flight cancellations at Frankfurt Airport in Germany

70 flights including 23 Lufthansa flights were cancelled at Frankfurt Airport in Germany on Wednesday due to flight operations system failure.

The airline said some passengers missed their connecting flights and resulted in flight delays. The airline said that all operations were carried out manually until the system is fixed.

According to Lufthansa, The flight crew used radios and telephones to communicate as the system that contains information of aircraft positions, which is used to send information to ground staff failed.
