Metal parts fell off an Engine on Japan Airlines Boeing 767, shortly after takeoff

Japan Airlines B767-300 flight #JL632 suffered an engine failure soon after takeoff from Kumamoto Airport,Japan. Broken metal parts exited the engine exhaust and fell on a residential area near the airport.

According to Japan Airlines, the 632 flight with 217 passengers onboard, took off from Kumamoto Airport around 3:40 pm on the 24 May 2018, and immediately found fault in the left engine and returned to Kumamoto airport. No injuries reported.

In Mashirocho near Kumamoto Airport, hospital window glass cracked at the same time as the engine malfunction occurred, and multiple metal pieces were found.
