The First A330neo began its test flight world tour

Airbus is taking the first A330neo in TAP Portugal livery to its home in Lisbon before she begins her round the world flight test trials

The flight MSN1819 powered by Rolls-Royce’s latest-generation Trent 7000 engines is en route to function and reliability tests, flying over European Airbus sites and visiting 15 cities worldwide to test aircraft readiness for airline operations. The intensive flight test programme, which will reach 1,000 flight hours during the world tour.

The route proving tests form part of the final trials required for aircraft Type Certification scheduled for summer 2018.

The first A330-900 production aircraft, which made its maiden flight on 15 May 2018, will be delivered to its launch customer, TAP Portugal in September 2018.
