The Canadian low-cost carrier, WestJet unveiled a its Boeing 737Max-8 in a new livery.
The nearly all-white fuselage in two-colour scheme with its distinctive ‘WestJet’ pointed in full blue. One side of the fuselage read “The Spirit of Canada” and on the other side reads French translation “L’esprit du Canada”. The tail has one of Canada’s symbols, the maple leaf.
WestJet, the second largest airline in Canada, behind Air Canada, place an order 65 737 MAX airplanes valued at $6.3 billion at list prices in September 2013. The order consists of 40 737 MAX 8s and 25 737 MAX 7s.
The airline revised its order in 2016, to thirty 737 MAX 8s, ten 737 MAX 9s and 25 737 MAX 7s.
