A Singapore Airlines Cargo Boeing 747-400 Freighter suffered a pod strike to engine number one during a missed approach at Sydney Airport. The Australian Transport Safety Bureau (ATSB) is investigating the incident, which took place on 28 November at 20.40 local time with aircraft 9V-SFO flying from Singapore’s Changi Airport. The ATSB will interview the flight crew and other directly involved parties and obtain other relevant information including recorded data.
