Three people were killed in a single-engine plane crash just north of San Antonio Airport in Texas, U.S.A today, Sunday night.

A Piper-PA24 Comanche, plane departed Sugar Land Airport near Houston headed to Boerne, but declared emergency for an engine failure and attempted to land at the San Antonio International Airport,

The plane fell short about 150 yards, crashing into the street.

Firefighters searched a 20-block radius to make sure the engine didn’t fall into a structure while the plane was descending.

Roads near the area were closed while authorities investigated the crash scene.
